Administrative Region
This center is located at No. 227, Section 2, Yuanji Road, Yuanquan Village, Ershui Township, adjacent to the Mr. Lin Temple. It is also situated next to the water diversion gates of the Babao No. 1 and No. 2 Canals. The irrigation region extends from the foothills of the Bagua Mountain Range in the east to the Changhua Dapu Drainage in the north, bordering the Taiwan Strait to the west, and reaching the north bank of the old Zhuoshui River in the south, forming a pouch-shaped great plain. The administrative region encompasses 21 townships and cities within Changhua County, including Changhua City, Yuanlin City, and the townships of Ershui, Tianzhong, Shetou, Dacun, Huatan, Xiushui, Puyan, Yongjing, Tianwei, Puxin, Xihu, Fuxing, Lukang, Xizhou, Pitou, Erlin, Fangyuan, Zhutang, and Dacheng.
Irrigation Region and Irrigated Area
The Babao Canal draws its water from the Zhuoshui River. As of December 2020, the Babao No. 1 Canal irrigated an area of 9,951 hectares, covering workstations in Ershui, Tianzhong, Shetou, Yuanlin, Dacun, Huatan, Andong, Fudong, Xiushui, Puyan, Fuxing, and Yongjing. The Babao No. 2 Canal irrigated an area of 5,787 hectares, covering workstations in Ershui, Tianzhong, Yongjing, Tianwei, Puxin, and Puyan. The irrigation area along the north bank of the old Zhuoshui River was 2,868 hectares, including workstations in Xihu and Fuxing.
The Cizipi Canal, also sourcing water from the Zhuoshui River, irrigated an area of 18,183 hectares as of December 2020, covering workstations in Xizhou, Pitou, Erlin, Lushang, Zhutang, Dacheng, and Wanxing. The irrigation area along the south bank of the old Zhuoshui River was 1,137 hectares as of December 2020, with the Wanxing Workstation overseeing this region.
