The main sources of irrigation water in the area include the Babao No. 1 Canal and Babao No. 2 Canal. The Babao No. 1 Canal serves areas like the Xiangshan Canal and the Xinshiwu Main Supplementary Canal, which also supplies water to the Guozhen Second Canal.
Meanwhile, the Babao No. 2 Canal irrigates regions including the Guozhen Second Canal, Daxin Canal, Liujia Canal, Shiwuzhuang Canal, Shiwu Supplementary Canal, the Old Erfen Canal, and the Nanzhenping Line. During the Japanese colonial period, this area was under the Tianzhong Office. After Taiwan’s retrocession, it became part of the Babao Water Conservancy Committee. In December 1956, it was reorganized under the Changhua Irrigation Association and named the Tianzhong Workstation. On October 1, 2020, it was further restructured as the Tianzhong Workstation under the Changhua Management Office, with an irrigated area of 1,117 hectares.
