Administrative Region
Shetou Township is located in the southeastern part of Changhua County, Taiwan. According to local elders, during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Han settlers from mainland China referred to indigenous settlements as “She” (village), and the name “Shetou” originated from the fact that the headman or chief of the Hoanya tribe’s Dawujun She resided here.
The administrative region includes five townships: Shetou, Tianzhong, Yuanlin, Yongjing, and Puxin. The area forms a rectangular, toe-shaped terrain, approximately 4.5 km in width from east to west and about 11 km in length from south to north, with the terrain sloping from south to north and being higher in the east than in the west.

Irrigation Water Source
The jurisdiction falls under the Babao No. 1 Canal system, with lateral canals including the Hongmen Canal, Dagao Canal, Chencuocuo Canal, Caozipi Canal, Fangqiaotou Canal, and direct irrigation from the Babao No. 1 Canal.

Irrigation Region

  1. The eastern boundary is the Bagua Mountain, and to the west, it borders Tianwei and Yongjing Townships, with the Chencuocuo Canal Drainage serving as the boundary. To the south, it connects with Xiangshan Village in Tianzhong Township, and to the north, the boundary is marked by the southern bank of Yuanlin Main Drainage in Yuanlin Township. As of 2023, the total irrigated area under the station’s jurisdiction was approximately 1,954 hectares.
  2. The station oversees a total of 15 irrigation teams.
