Administrative Region
The Huatan Workstation oversees an area stretching about 10 kilometers from Guogou Section in Dacun Township in the south to Yanhe Section in Changhua City in the north. Its jurisdiction extends from the Bagua Mountain Range (Zhangyuan Road) in the east to Jinxing Section in Xiushui Township in the west, covering parts of four townships.
Irrigation Water Source
The primary water source is the Babao No. 1 Canal system, with main canals including the Shigou Lateral Canal, Jintun Canal, Zhongzhuang Sub-lateral Canal, Dapu Sub-lateral Canal, Nanwei Sub-lateral Canal, and Qiedonglin Sub-lateral Canal.
Irrigation Regioin
The irrigated area covers approximately 836 hectares, managed by the station through 9 irrigation teams. These include Shigou Side Ditch, Jintun Main Canal, Zhongzhuang Sub-lateral Canal, West Jintun Sub-lateral Canal, East Jintun Sub-lateral Canal, Nanwei Sub-lateral Canal, Dapu Sub-lateral Canal, Wannian Sub-lateral Canal, and Qiedonglin Sub-lateral Canal. The main sluice gates within its jurisdiction are Daqiaotou, Zhongzhuangpi, Qiedonglin, Puweipi, and Pizitou. Additionally, the station manages two deep wells (Well No. 85 and Well No. 6) and a surface pump at Shisijiapi.
Agricultural Production
The soil in this area is sandy, and rice is the primary crop, typically cultivated in two cropping seasons each year.
