Administrative Region
The station, located at No. 257, Fanhua Road, Section 1, Sanbian Village, Fuxing Township, has a history rooted in its original name, the Sanbiantou Workstation. On July 1, 1996, former chairman of the Changhua Irrigation Association, Chen Ding-yun, officially renamed it the Fudong Workstation.
The irrigation area it serves is long and narrow, stretching 14 kilometers in length and approximately 2 kilometers in width. It begins at the Dongxi Canal sluice gate in Xinxing Village, Dacun Township, and extends westward into the heart of Lukang Township. To the north, it borders the Fanshe Branch Drainage, connecting with the Andong Workstation, while to the south, it reaches the Yuanlin Main Drainage, adjacent to the Puyan Workstation.

Irrigation Water Source
The primary source of irrigation water for the area comes from the Babao No. 1 Canal’s West Canal System of the Zhuoshui River. The irrigation network is extensive, with lateral canals totaling approximately 11,423 meters in length, sub-lateral canals measuring about 15,739 meters, ditches extending around 132,459 meters, and drainage routes covering about 130,104 meters.
The station is organized into 12 irrigation teams and oversees five major temporary dams: the Taiwangou, Xincuo, Shuanghanpi, Zhongpi, and Pulunpi Rubber Dams. To further support irrigation, deep wells #75 and #86 provide additional water to the West Canal’s lateral channels, and water from the Yuanlin Main Drainage is pumped by the Taiwangou, Xincuo, and Shewei pumping stations to various areas in need. All these water sources have formally registered water rights.

Irrigation Region
The station oversees a jurisdiction covering roughly 1,204 hectares, with an irrigated area of about 1,124 hectares. Its operations extend across five townships: Dacun Township, Puxin Township, Xiushui Township, Fuxing Township, and Lukang Township.

Agricultural Production
The region is part of the Babao No. 1 Canal’s West Canal System, where rice is the dominant crop during both main planting seasons. Alongside rice, farmers grow a variety of secondary crops, including vegetables, flowers, fruits, different grains, and ornamental plants.
