Administrative Region
The station is situated at the southwestern tip of Changhua County, along the north bank of the Zhuoshui River. This area was originally barren land covered with sand and gravel, frequently subjected to flooding. However, its landscape began to change after Zheng Chenggong led his followers to Taiwan. Gradually, the land was cultivated, and irrigation canals were dug to draw water from the Zhuoshui River (formerly known as the Xiluo River). Due to the thick topsoil and deep plowing of the land, the area is nicknamed "Deep Cultivation Land."
Irrigation Water Source
The irrigation water is sourced from the Zhuoshui River.
Irrigation Region
The jurisdiction extends eastward to the 10th Road of the Yongji Redevelopment Zone in Chang'an, Zhutang Township, southward to the Zhuoshui River embankment, westward to the Taiwan Strait, and northward to the Yuliao River. The area spans approximately 10 kilometers from east to west and 5 kilometers from north to south, with the terrain gently sloping from east to west at an approximate gradient of 1/1500. The redevelopment of the irrigation areas for the Shengeng No. 2 and No. 3 Canals has been completed, resulting in well-developed irrigation facilities. However, the coastal location makes the area susceptible to seasonal wind damage and saltwater intrusion in spring and summer. Fortunately, the government has been proactively improving water conservancy in coastal areas, and the elimination of these natural disasters is expected in the near future.
Agricultural Production
Because the area was developed early on, double-cropped rice is the main crop, with grains and vegetables grown as secondary crops. The soil here is rich, consisting mostly of alluvial soil and sandy loam deposited by the Zhuoshui River.
