The Executive Yuan formulated “Taiwan’s Net-Zero Emissions Plan for 2050” to develop a major policy for Taiwan in response to the trends of global climate change and net zero emissions. It thereby successively ratified and implemented energy conservation plans for government agencies and schools since 2016, which showed that the government agencies took the initiative to demonstrate and prioritize power-saving measures. This Office, in order to cooperate on pressing ahead with energy conservation and carbon reduction strategy, organized an employee power-saving training in the auditorium on the fifth floor of this Office Building on August 16, 2024 (Friday). We cordially invited Deputy General Manager Tsai Hung-Ta of Foundation of Taiwan Industry Service and Professor Cheng Ming-Jen from Feng Chia University’s Architecture Department to serve as lecturers. The theme courses focused on the topic of “Energy Saving and Green Lifestyle in Public Sector” and “Energy Efficiency Management Plan in Public Sector”, which taught government agencies power-saving methods and carbon reduction concepts, as well as enhancing the employees serving in this Office to gain relevant knowledge of power saving, carbon reduction, sustainability, environmental protection, green buildings, etc. In addition to the use of approaches to power-saving in public-sector workplaces, the power-saving concepts and methods could be taken home for implementation as well, which benefited the trainees attending the training courses a lot.
