Improve Attendance Management and Safety Performance, As Well As Striding Forward Towards Intelligent Management

To satisfy the needs of contemporary management, this Office has commenced a whole new “Project of Face Recognition Device” recently to duly replace the old Fingerprint Card Readers Door Access Control System and adopt non-contact procedure rendered by biometrics face recognition technology based on AI techniques to fully upgrade attendance management and security system.

Project Background

It has been more than 10 years since this Office “Door Access Attendance Control Network System” was put into use in 2013, of which the stability and functionality have declined gradually, and it can no longer meet the needs of contemporary management. This plan for face recognition system construction aims at advancing the convenience of sign-in (sign-out) and data transmission efficiency, as well as completely upgrading it to the non-contact procedure rendered by biometrics face recognition technology.

The new system reduces management costs in addition to effectively enhancing sign-in efficiency. It also reduces the risk of cross-contamination and further protects employees’ health through non-contact technology. With the advancement of AI technology and the reduction of costs, the introduced face recognition technology has become the best option to satisfy management needs, as well as improving security efficiency.

Project Progress and Achievements

This plan includes this Office and all workstations, which completes the following tasks within 90 days:

˙ Complete device installation and testing.

˙ Establish a dataset for face recognition for all employees.

˙ Complete recognition data reception and system testing.

It brings the following major benefits after the new system being introduced:

1. Improve Efficiency of Attendance Management: Rapid recognition, reducing lineup and waiting time, and making the data more authentic and accurate.
2. Enhance Security: Face recognition technology relies on unique facial features, difficult to counterfeit, significantly improving the reliability of identity recognition.
3. Reduce Management Costs: Save the maintenance costs of traditional physical card systems and avoid the wear and tear on equipment caused by frequent contact.

The Office has successfully solved the commonly seen fault problems of the old Fingerprint Card Readers Control System through this plan, and meanwhile significantly improved the efficiency of personnel management and data collection capabilities. Either system stability or user experience has been fully improved. The Management Office will continue to show great dedication to technological innovation in the future to ensure continuous advancement and efficiency optimization of the management system, as well as providing employees with further convenience and higher efficiency.
