This Office handled the “2025 Inspection of Farmland Water Conservancy Facilities” in advance from November 2024 (last year) to January 2025 in response to climate change and to prepare for flood season, which inspected a total of 70 irrigation sluice gates to ensure the normal operation of farmland water conservancy facilities.
Management Team Leader Senior Engineer Chen Yen-Hsu of the Agency and his support team as well as the committee members Hsieh-Li and Chiang Chang-Shu proceeded with the “Random Inspection of Farmland Water Conservancy Facility Management Operation” at Changhua Management Office on February 24, 2025. They first went to the conference room to listen to the briefing and conducted a sampling inspection of relevant maintenance and management documents in the morning. They later went to the “Qingfengbi Water Control Gate”, “Liucuobi Water Control Gate”, and “Daqiaotou Water Control Gate” for on-site supervision and review in the afternoon. We would like to express our gratitude for the guidance on relevant documents and the field advice on improvements provided by the Agency’s senior executives and the committee members. Thanks to this random inspection, the Office will continue to better the maintenance of farmland water conservancy facilities to protect farmers’ irrigation rights and the safety of their lives and property.
