Topic: Distinction between Gaining Illegal Benefits for Oneself or Others and Convenience Service
To strengthen employees’ legal awareness and to disseminate correct concept of gaining illegal benefits for oneself or others and convenience service, Changhua Management Office, Irrigation Agency particularly invited Attorney Shih Ching-Huo, a former prosecutor of Taiwan High Prosecutors Office and incumbent lawyer serving for Siwei Law Firm, to Changhua Management Office to give a monographic lecture on July 18, 2023. Attorney Shih Ching-Huo has served successively as the director of the Shilin Branch, Administrative Enforcement Agency, Ministry of Justice, and other positions. Possessing profound knowledge of law, he expounded the constituent elements of offense of gaining illegal benefits for oneself or others, common patterns thereof, and the distinction between such crime and convenience, as well as citing relevant cases for reference. He explained the profound theories in simple language, which helped the colleagues to be more cautious and avoid violating the law when performing duties. It would be deemed a great deal of help.
