The Taiwan Research Institute on Water Resources and Agriculture held a “Workshop on Advancement of Agricultural Waterways” at this Office on September 21 and 22, 2023, inviting planning managers, organizers and co-organizers from all County and City Governments and Management Offices of the Irrigation Agencies to the workshop, of which the content included the discussion on the promotion process of Improvement Plan for Agricultural Waterways in Farmland Readjustment Areas, carbon reduction measures and applications of agricultural hydraulic projects, ecological check on engineering project mechanism for agricultural waterways in farmland readjustment areas, research and analysis of agricultural waterway network construction in farmland readjustment areas, as well as agricultural waterway project design and quality management review, visits of this Office’s “Xigou Branch Line (Phase 2 of Tianwei Section) Improvement Project” in the afternoon which won the “Excellent Award” for Excellent Agricultural Construction in 2022, and “2022 Improvement Project of Lot No. 595, Yongmei Sec., Tianhong Drainage Project (Phase 6) in Du’ao Readjustment Area” pertaining to the Improvement Plan for Agricultural Waterways in Farmland Readjustment Areas. In addition, a briefing was given and valuable experience exchange with the trainees at the work area.
