To improve colleagues’ writing skills on official documents and essentials of document preparation, two sessions of “Official Document Writing Training” were held for all colleagues in the morning and afternoon of November 29, 2023. We invited the Teacher, Chiu Chung-Min, who taught official document preparation and writing at the National Academy of Civil Service, to give a lecture, teaching essentials of document preparation and skills of document drafting to easily grasp the main points of both documentation submitted to the immediate supervisor and the documents received for implementation, elaborating on key factors to the writing of rough draft text and content structure (subject and explanatory paragraphs), as well as giving practical examples of unusual official documents for analysis. Hopefully the colleagues would do a better job in writing official documents through such education and training, and to achieve effectiveness of “a stitch in time saves nine”.
